Piraeus, Greece (PortSEurope) April 15, 2018 – A delegation of the Greek government’s B5 Directorate of International Economic Relations with Central and Southern America, Sub Saharan Africa & Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Ambassador Konstantinos Economides, accompanied by Konstantinos Daskalopoulos, First Secretary of Economic and Commercial Affairs and Despina Tzova, Attaché of Economic and Commercial Affairs, visited the headquarters of Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA) and had a meeting with CEO Capt. Fu Chengqiu and senior executives of the company’s management.
During the meeting, the delegates were presented the steps that have taken place in Piraeus port in recent years and the development of the company’s investment plan. There was also a constructive exchange of views on issues and difficulties arisen during the development of the port operations.
B5 Directorate is responsible for the bilateral economic relations of Greece with Central and South America, sub-Saharan African and Asian countries.
PPA is part of China’s COSCO Shipping Ports Limited.
