Ancona, Italy (PortSEurope) April 19, 2018 – Parliamentarians from the Marche region have met with officials from Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico (AdSP – Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority) to discuss establishing an operational relationship between the two organisations on the topics of local port and the national airports of Ancona, Pesaro, Falconara Marittima and San Benedetto del Tronto.
The AdSP, which includes Abruzzo and Pescara ports, handled more than one million passengers and 9 million tons of goods in 2017, and employed about 8,000 people.
AdSP President Rodolfo Giampieri said it was working with Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Centro-Settentrionale (AdSP – Centre-North Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority) to build up links with Balkan countries. A project that should create the conditions for increasing competitiveness, of companies, of production opportunities, of tourism, working increasingly on the theme of sustainability, an indispensable element for growth.
