Bilbao, Spain (PortSEurope) April 13, 2018 – Bergé was the company in charge of carrying out the maritime transport from the United States to Bilbao of large sculptures of the Basque artist Eduardo Chillida.
After several exhibitions in the U.S., the works return to Spain again in an operation managed by Bergé, including the land transportation.
The international transport has been carried out by the shipping company ACL (Atlantic Container Line), belonging to the Grimaldi Group, of which Agencia Marítima Condeminas Bilbao is a general agent in Spain.
The transfer of this type of works of art, both for their value and special characteristics, dimensions and fragility has been especially careful in all its phases: land transport, shrink wrapping, lashing and boarding on mobile platforms.
ACL has a weekly service from Bilbao to the United States for container transport, project loading and ro-ro.
