Ceuta, Spain (PortSEurope) January 11, 2018 – Ceuta port handled 948,393 tonnes of cargo in the first eleven months of 2017, down 14.89% on the year, according to data by Spain’s national ports agency Puertos del Estado.
The port serviced a significantly lower number of containers as less products were exported from the warehouses in Morocco. Containerised cargo exports from Ceuta port fell 17.99% to 118,464 tonnes in the period under review.
As for containerised container import, it also declined, down 22.84% to 15,363 tonnes.
The port handled 903 merchant ships, versus 828 in the first eleven months of 2016.
