Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) January 19, 2018 – The Genoese group Fratelli Cosulich has closed 2017 recording a significant increase in the volume of bunker (marine fuel) marketed in the main ports of the world.
In total, last year the company reached 5.7 million tons globally, recording a 19% increase compared to the data for 2016. A considerable part of this business, now consolidated for the Cosulich group, originated in Singapore, where 2.4 million tons of bunkers were sold last year, out of the total 5.7 million, and where the company operates not only as a trader but also as a physical supplier of fuel to ships, through its own fleet of specialized units. In addition to Singapore, Fratelli Cosulich is also active in naval fuel trading in Genoa, Hong Kong, Monaco, Vietnam, New York and Dubai.
The good performance of 2017 should also be confirmed for the current year: the Genoese company estimates to close 2018 with a further growth of 5%.
