Sines, Portugal (PortSEurope) October 6, 2017 – PSA Sines-Terminais de Contentores S.A., the container terminal operator of Sines port, has ordered the construction, design and installation of an STS Portainer Malaccamax crane to Spanish company Paceco España S.A.
The crane will have a reach of 70 metres and 24 container lines, with a height of 48 metres under the spreader. It will be able to operate the largest container ships.
“The broad experience of Paceco España in the design of cranes for the handling of containers has facilitated the company to adapt its technology to the specific needs of the terminal and the reliability of its cranes allows it to support PSA Sines in its way for the achievement of strategic objectives,” sources from the company said.
PSA Sines operates a container terminal with an annual capacity of 2.1 million TEUs. The terminal is equipped with Post-Panamax, Super-Post-Panamax and Malaccamax cranes currently.
