Navrom Shipyard wins Constanta port contract

Constanta, Romania (PortSEurope) January 13, 2018 – Within the framework of the project “PROTECT – Infrastructure for Safe Operations and Environmental Protection in Constanta Port” , the National Company Maritime Port Administration SA has signed with SC Navrom Shipyard SRL Galati the contract for the design, construction and delivery in Constanta Port of a self-propelled tanker. The value of the contract is RON 8.970 million (€1.93
million), excluding VAT. The multifunctional ship will have 500 tons of deadweight, 11 knots sailing performance and will ensure takeover of oil and sewage from ships in and around Romanian naval ports. At the same time, the ship will ensure the take-off of the fuel from ships that climb the dock or repair. The project “PROTECT – Infrastructure for Safe Operations and Environmental Protection in Constanta Port” is co-funded by the European Union through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).
