A Coruña Port Expects 190,000 Cruise Passengers In 2019

A Coruña, Spain (PortSEurope) February 14, 2019 – A Coruña port has raised expectations for 2019 for record cruise passenger numbers, which predict more than 190,000 passengers.

Above 120 cruise ship visits will be serviced and the port of A Coruña maintains its leadership in the Cantabrian-Atlantic cornice, from Lisbon to France, both in the number of passengers and in berths.

In 2018, more than 50% of cruise passengers and transatlantic passengers who have visited the whole of Galicia arrived at the port of A Coruña.

In addition to the value of the impact in terms of tourism image of the destination A Coruña, the direct economic return will materialise in some €15 million ($16.9 million), including port fees, spending made by passengers and crew.
