A Coruña, Spain (PortSEurope) February 12, 2019 – A Coruña port will soon tender a €150 million ($169.4 million) project for the construction of a rail line to its Punta Langosteira outer harbour despite its astronomical debt of €200 million ($226.25 million).
Spanish national ports agency Puertos del Estado is working in cooperation with railway infrastructures manager Adif and the port authority “to define a financial scheme that allows tendering the work in the short term.”
At the same time, Spain’s Public Works Ministry has closed the door to the cancellation of the €200 million ($226.25 million) debt.
