Adaptation and operation of a fuel storage plant in Caneliñas sees green light

Ferrol-San Cibrao, Spain (PortSEurope) July 22, 2021 – The meeting of the board of directors of the Port Authority of Ferrol-San Cibrao has resolved the process of competition of projects related to the request presented by the company Terminal de Líquidos Ferrol, SL for the occupation under an administrative concession of a plot of 20,960 m² in the outer port of Ferrol.  The purpose of
the concession is the “adaptation and operation of a fuel storage plant” in Caneliñas. Of the two offers presented to the Port Authority, the entity chaired by Indalecio Seijo continues processing the request. Likewise, the council approved the file and the tender for the works of the second phase of the internal railway network in Caneliñas. The base budget for the tender is €1.2 million and has an execution period of 3 months. This file is part of the project 2019-ES-TA-0032-M funded by the European Union within the framework of the CEF “Connecting Europe Facility” mechanism and contributes to the improvement of rail connections to seaports and their development. Also, the Port Authority renewed the concession of the café-bar that is located in the garden of the Ranita. The popular hospitality establishment will continue in the hands of Manuel Bueno Casal for another five years. Pérez y Cía, Pérez Torres and Telefónica Móviles also obtained new concessions on properties that they already occupied to carry out their activity. The council approved the non-substantial modification of the concession of ownership of the Cofradía de Pescadores de Ferrol to enable the installation of photovoltaic panels in the fish market of Ferrol. A project that foresees an energy saving close to 78% over the ordinary operation of the building. In the same environment and agreed with the farm, a new ordinance was given the green light for the regulation of stowage and storage of tackle and other necessary equipment for the development of the activity of the users of the fishing-shellfish area of ​​the port of Ferrol. Finally, the council took the opportunity to say goodbye to the Admiral of Arsenal, Mr. Antonio Duelo, a director of the Port Authority of Ferrol-San Cibrao, for his special dedication during the time he has been part of it.
