
AdSP del Mar Ligure Orientale (La Spezia) appoints new extraordinary commissioner

La Spezia, Italy (PortSEurope) October 30, 2020 – The secretary general of Autorita’di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Orientale (AdSP – Eastern Ligurian Sea Port Authority), Francesco Di Sarcina, has been appointed extraordinary commissioner of the body by the minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli. following the resignation of the president Carla Roncallo who has assumed the role of councilor in the Board
of Directors of the Transport Regulatory Authority. “I thank Minister De Micheli”, said Di Sarcina, “for giving me confidence in this transition phase towards the new presidency and, aware of the delicacy of the assignment, I will do my best for the good of the ports of La Spezia and Marina si Carrara and of the relative territories”. Di Sarcina has been dealing with ports since 2004, first as an officer of the Civil Engineering Works of Palermo, then director and then general secretary of the Messina Port Authority. As secretary general, he was responsible for the STO of the institution coordinating all the activities necessary to implement the directives of the president, collaborating with her in defining the strategies, also in the capacity of responsible for the prevention of corruption and transparency.
