AdSP del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale (Livorno) to present carbon footprint report

Livorno, Italy (PortSEurope) September 11, 2019 – Tomorrow, Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale (AdSP – North Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority) will present its first report on the Carbon Footprint of the AdSP to operators, the press and the public. The document will be an integral part of the implementation of the AdSP’s Environmental and Energy Plan, and calculating CO2 emissions produced by
the activities linked to the authority’s ports. The report has been prepared according to the guidelines issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) utilising the tools called “Port Emissions Toolkit”, to guarantee the standardization and harmonization of methodologies for collecting information, analyzing and determining the Carbon Footprint. The initiative organized at the Chamber of Commerce will be divided into two phases, in the first part the data will be presented, in the second part different experiences and prospects to be developed in favour of environmental sustainability will be compared.
