Ravenna, Italy (PortSEurope) May 16, 2018 – Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Centro-Settentrionale (AdSP – Centre-North Port Authority) will hold two events this week.
On May 17, 2018, in the eleventh edition of “Dealing with the environment. Waste water energy” about environmental sustainability as a strategic element for the development of the port.
Co-ordinated by Stefano Zunarelli, Professor of Law of Navigation at the University of Bologna, attendees include Professor Greta Tellarini, Associate Professor of Navigation Law of the University of Bologna – Andrea Ferrante, Technical Councilor of the Council of Public Works, Francesco Benevolo, Chief Operating Officer RAM – Logistica Infrastrutture e Trasporti SpA, Paola Minasi, Program Manager for European Structural Funds – Central Innovation Technologies Department – Research Office and International Projects of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, Armando Ruffini, Chief Technical / Administrative Department of the Port Authority of Ravenna, Fabio Faraone, Head of the Naval Safety Environment Technical Service “of Confitarma, Guido Ottolenghi, President of the” Logistics, Transport and the Sea Economy “Technical Group of Confindustria and Managing Director of the Petrolifera Group Italo Rumena and S imona Giovagnoni of ANSEP – UNITAM (National Association of Port Ecological Services). The conclusions will be presented to the President of the AdSP, Daniele Rossi.
Professor Greta Tellarini, of the University of Bologna stresses, “The conference intends to identify actions and initiatives in the port area aimed at promoting the environmental sustainability of economic activities, encouraging the awareness and awareness of users and operators on the environmental problems of the territory and the port area and promoting a policy of performance improvement environmental and planning and decision-making processes in all the main strategic development areas of the port”.
The following Saturday, May 19, the AdSP will be the venue for the conference “Viaggiare LNG. The advantages of a choice. Analysis and reality of alternative fuel for heavy vehicles”.
Attendees will be the President of the AdSP, Daniele Rossi, ,iziano Samorè, Secretary of Confartigianato Ravenna, Andrea Bardi, Director of the Transport and Logistics Institute Foundation, Paolo Carri of Scania and Fabio Pellegrini of Iveco, Francesco Parisi of Edison, Alessandro Gentile, Deputy General Manager of the Italo Rumena Petrolifera Group and Amedeo Genedani, National President of Confartigianato Trasporti.
Tiziano Samorè, Provincial Secretary of Confartigianato, said: “With this conference Confartigianato intends to deepen the technical and economic aspects of LNG supply to allow transport entrepreneurs to evaluate an alternative to diesel fuel, which is convenient, less polluting and incentivized. LNG has great potential for use as fuel for heavy vehicles and several manufacturers have already on the market vehicles using this fuel, some of these vehicles will be on display during the conference. ”
