Bari, Italy (PortSEurope) June 13, 2019 – Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Meridionale (AdSP – Southern Adriatic Sea Port Authority) has invested €2 million ($2.2 million) in Bari port to improve conditions for passengers travelling to and from Albania.
Ferry traffic with Albania represents one of the core businesses for Bari and Brindisi ports.
The port authority has strengthened the control posts at the service of the Border Police in Bari, in the area of the maritime station, including the reconfiguration of the security fence through the introduction of a cover in the restricted area of the harbour.
“We consider those who use our ports not to be passengers, but guests to be welcomed, offering the greatest possible comfort,” the president of the port authority, Ugo Patroni Griffi, said.
