Durrës, Albania (PortSEurope) July 21, 2018 – The presidents of Albania, Ilir Meta, and Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, have met to discuss a number of cooperation issues including the port sector.
In the bilateral relations between the two countries, the two presidents put an emphasis on the potential of both countries in regional development. As well as maritime cooperation, they discussed the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), the Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (IAP), environmental and tourism issues.
Croatia has recently started helping Albania to clean up its own territorial waters and improve its environmental ability to respond quickly to oil spills and other hazards.
