Algeciras, Spain (PortSEurope) January 3, 2018 – Huelva and Algeciras port authorities’ presidents, José Luis Ramos and Manuel Morón, respectively, have held a meeting to discuss possible cooperation between the two institutions.
The two port authorities discussed cooperation projects in the field of new technologies and innovation. Moreover, opportunities for commercial cooperation to take advantage from the synergies generated by the harbours.
Another aspect in the talks was the need for joint work on new projects related to the use of liquified natural gas (LNG) as a ship fuel in the Iberian Peninsula. The introduction of a joint industrial strategy of Algeciras, Huelva and Tarragona ports was also discussed.
