Algeciras, Spain (PortSEurope) November 18, 2019 – Nicolás Martínez, head of the Business Development Division of Autoridad Portuaria de la Bahía de Algeciras (APBA – Port Authority of Algeciras), attended the Conference of the European Logistics Association (ELA), joining a panel dedicated to transport infrastructure in Europe.
In his presentation, Martínez has addressed the issue of ports as an added value of logistics chains highlighting their transforming role of mere infrastructure managers to orchestrators of processes and value services in ports.
The round table was moderated by the president of the European Logistics Association, Paolo Bisogni. In turn, Alain Joyeux, Vice President of Logistics of the Alliance of the Renault Nissan Group; Reinhard Haller, of the General Directorate of Mobility and Transport of the European Commission, and Furio Bombardi, President of the Italian Rail Rete. The Congress has had the assistance of 3,000 professionals in the sector, being one of the most important annual meeting points of logistics in Europe.
European Logistics Association (ELA) is a federation of 30 national organisations, covering almost every country in Central and Western Europe as well as European Union’s outermost regions, in the Caribbean (Martinique French West Indies).
ELA aims to provide an international forum for networking , the promotion and development of the logistics and supply chain profession.
