Algeciras port traffic down -2.74% in first 10 months of 2020

Algeciras, Spain (PortSEurope) November 24, 2020 – In October 2020, total cargo handled at Algeciras port was 9.38 million tons, down 0.07% on the same month of 2019 (9.39 million tons). The total number of containers was 270,598, down -6.34%. The equivalent TEU figures was 437,932, down -5.71%. Liquid cargo was up 3.7% at 2.6 million tons, and solid bulk increased 9.7% to 79, 590
tons. General cargo registered a fall of -2.22% to 6.39 million tons. The level of passengers using the port remains 74.32% down on October 2019 at 16,027.
