
Alicante Port to help companies create synergies and advance their innovation strategies

Alicante, Spain (PortSEurope) December 1, 2020 – The Alicante Port Authority and the Digital District share an interest in helping Alicante companies create synergies and advance their innovation strategies and entrepreneurship. Both institutions are going to convene Technology Forums, every two months, aimed at promoting open innovation, connecting supply and demand for the benefit of the Alicante Port Logistics Cluster. The first edition of this series
“Towards the robotization of processes”, will be opened by the President of the Alicante Port Authority (APA), Juan Antonio Gisbert, and representatives of several key companies in the automation of processes will participate: Delloite, AuraQuantic and Alfatec Sistemas. The Port Authority wants to strengthen its commitment to boost its competitiveness and sustainability in compliance with its 2018-2022 Strategic Plan, betting on the dynamization of the logistics-port community, with the aim of improving the attractiveness of Alicante, as a basis of innovative operations and businesses. The APA thinks that the role of ports is key in the digital transformation and the green pact promoted by the European Union, through open innovation and the promotion of international alliances of a technological nature and they hope that these forums serve to explore ideas that can be used in public programs, local, regional, national or European.
