Nador, Morocco (PortSEurope) November 29, 2019 – The president of Autoridad Portuaria de Almería (APA – Port Authority of Almería), Jesús Caicedo, has attended the VIII Hispanic-Moroccan Business Meeting of the Maritime, Transport and Logistics Sector, held in Tangier, Morocco, and organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Jesús Caicedo held over ten meetings with representatives of the logistics, maritime transport and financial entities sectors, with the aim of promoting Almería port’s capabilities.
Almería is interested in the development of Nador-West at the port, which could offer trade opportunities for the Spanish port, including the possibility of a ro-pax service.
The APA president also met with directors of the Spanish shipping company Baleària, shipping company AML (Enlace África Marruecos), which operates until a few years ago from Almeria, and the French shipping group CMA CGM, Suardíaz, Truck & Wheel and Inditex.
