Ashdod Port Company sees improved H1 2017 performance.

Ashdod, Israel (PortSEurope) September 7, 2017 – In the first half of 2017 Ashdod Port Company recorded total revenue of 616m Israeli shekels (US$173m), compared with 591m Israeli shekels (US$166) compared with the same period in 2016, an increase of 4.3%. The port’s revenue increase comes as a result of the 6.6% increase in TEU and the 8.3% growth in general cargo. TEU traffic was
773,476 units, an increase of 6.6% and general cargo was 1.09m tonnes, up 8.3%. The main generation of growth in cargo was in containers, metal, mortar imports, and iron and scrap exports.
