
Azerbaijan and Iran discuss port cooperation

Baku, Azerbaijan (PortSEurope) September 20, 2020 – Baku International Sea Trade Port, the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran and the State Maritime Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies to discuss cooperation between the Baku International Sea Trade Port and Iranian ports in the Caspian Sea. Topics included traditional passenger transportation, cruise travel in the Caspian Basin and issues that will
boost cooperation between the two countries by sea. Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyed Abbas Mousavi and Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization’s Transit, Logistics and Contracts Department, Khosrov Sarai, noted that the Caspian Sea is a sea of friendship and cooperation, and Iran and Azerbaijan have important cultural and historical partnerships. The video conference was attended by Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyed Abbas Mousavi, Babek Mammadov, Chief Advisor to the Director-General of Baku Port, and other relevant parties.
