Balearic Islands Port Authority Calls €1.9 Million tender for Maintenance Of Lighthouses

Ibiza, Spain (PortSEurope) January 4, 2018 – Balearic Islands port authority (Autoridad Portuaria de Baleares) has called a €1.9 million ($2.3 million) tender for the maintenance of lighthouses and buoys.

The contracts to be awarded will have a duration of two years and will include an extension option by other two.

The announcement of the tender was published in the official state gazette (BoE) on December 16 and the deadline for submitting proposals was set on February 2.

The purpose is to ensure the good presence, visibility and correct functioning of these elements, improving possible deficiencies and preventing their deterioration.

The tender of the contract, whose estimated value amounts to 1,911,682 ($2,309,601), has been carried out through three lots comprising: Mallorca, Cabrera and Dragonera (lot 1); Eivissa and Formentera (lot 2) and Menorca (lot 3).
