Barcelona, Spain (PortSEurope) December 19, 2019 – The Board of Directors of the Port of Barcelona has approved the Recovery project, reform and improvement of Club Natació Barcelona (CNB), a project requiring an investment of over €11.4 million to modernise its facilities, including the recovery of the historic pool and the investment to extend the life of the current facilities.

The agreement of Consell d’Administració (Council of Administration) includes extending of the concession of CNB until the 31 of December 2036.

The works, lasting 36 months, include the construction of a new pool as well as the works necessary to rehabilitate current buildings. CNB aims to “improve productivity and competitiveness allowing a more rational use of the spaces in better conditions to the current ones”, and to become more environmentally efficient.

An agreement has been signed between CNB and Greentrack SL “for developing catering, wellness and activities associated with the outdoor pool in the beach area.
