Barcelona, Spain (PortSEurope) June 27, 2019 – Terminal Port Nou, operated by Bergé, has taken delivery of three new machines reach stackers.
At an event, Mercè Conesa, president of the port authority, stressed the importance of the operators making investments to increase the competitiveness of the port. Also present were Thierry Rocaries, director General of Port Operations of Bergé; Richard Deng, CEO of Sany Europe; and Ignacio Gomà, general director of Terminal Port Nou.
She added, “we are in the hands of these operators, customers and the Port Community to ensure that they can develop the best logistics”. Conesa, finally, highlighted the, “commitment of Port Nou with sustainability, reaffirmed with the commissioning of this new terminal machinery that generates fewer emissions and is cleaner”. The new reach stackers, built by the SANY company, have a load capacity of 45 tons and will significantly improve the operational capacity and efficiency.
Port Nou is a multi purpose terminal with capacity to handling any kind of goods: containers, vehicles, semi trailers, general cargo, project cargo, etc.
Bergé is a reference player in multimodal logistic services, leader in the Spanish market, with strong presence in Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Panama.
