València, Spain (PortSEurope) January 21, 2022 – Boluda Towage Spain has added a tug vessel “VB SIDI” to its fleet operating at the Port of Valencia. The VB SIDI has a Voith system (VWT) that combines propulsion, steering and stabilization, which gives it high maneuverability, precision and the ability to vary the direction of its thrust almost instantly. In 2017, Boluda Corporacion Maritima acquired the German
towage companies of Unterweder Reederei and Lutgens & Reimers. Subsequently, on August 1, 2019, Boluda Corporación Marítima acquired Kotug Smit Towage. And the most recent acquisition of Caledonian Towage took place in December 2021. The businesses collectively operate under the name Boluda Towage, part of the Boluda group.
