Cádiz Port Handles 133 Cruise Ships Year-to-date

Cádiz, Spain (PortSEurope) June 11, 2018 – Cádiz port has handled 133 cruise ship calls in its docks so far in 2018. April and May, with 44 calls, were the months when most cruises and tourists visited the harbour.

May, with 44 calls, has been the month in which most cruises have moored in a single day in the port, with five cruise ships which took aboard 8,725 people, including passengers and crew. Among them, the ‘Queen Mary 2’, 345 metres in length, coming from Barcelona and bound for Southampton.

On the other hand, in April, a total of 44 cruise ships arrived at the docks of the port of Cádiz. In addition, during three days of the month – 16, 22 and 27 – up to four cruises have coincided in the port of Cádiz.

The forecast for 2018 is that more than 300 cruise ships will arrive at the port of Cádiz.
