Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain (PortSEurope) December 4, 2018 – Tenerife port has signed a contract with Carnival Corporation for the operation of the cruise terminal of the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The terminal, launched in 2016, offers passengers the most modern services and capacity to receive the last generation of ecological cruises powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), the cleanest fossil fuel in the world.
In this way, the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will be the first in the Canary Islands to receive the new class of ecological cruises of the latest generation of Carnival Corporation.
“Carnival Corporation has long been a valuable partner of the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Canary Islands, and we are sure that it will be a wonderful operator of our new terminal,” the president of the port authority, Pedro Suárez, said.
So far this year, seven shipping companies belonging to Carnival Corporation have operated calls in Tenerife: AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn and P & O Cruises UK.
