Cartagena, Spain (PortSEurope) March 13, 2019 – Cartagena port expects to double the number of luxury cruise ships handled in 2019, exceeding the number of 50, the president of Autoridad Portuaria de Cartagena (APC – Port Authority of Cartagena)a, Joaquin Segado, said.
In 2018, the year in which the port began to strengthen this segment of cruises, there were 26 calls, this year planned are 56 and most of the ships will repeat their arrivals to the harbour.
This has been highlighted in ‘Cartagena, Cruise Forum’, where on this occasion has been discussed on Premium and luxury cruises, organised by Cruises News Media Group with the collaboration of the Port Authority of Cartagena.
The number of cruise passengers that arrived at Cartagena port in recent years has increased exponentially, and with it, also the number of premium and luxury cruises, a sector that has its own protocols and requirements.
