Castellón, Spain (PortSEurope) June 27, 2019 – Castellón and Casablanca ports will sign cooperation agreements after the meeting between the heads of both port authorities and Agence Nationale des Ports (ANP – National Ports Agency) in the Moroccan city.
The objective is to further intensify the exchange of cargo between the two harbours, which has been multiplied by four since 2017 by developing joint lines of action, related to digitisation, security, and environmental protection measures.
Morocco has gone from occupying the 21st position of exports from the port of Castellón in 2017, to be in second place this year, just behind Algeria due to the opening of regular container lines by shipping companies MSC and Borchard Lines Ltd.
The meeting is part of the agenda that the port authority will hold these days within the framework of the Mediterranean Ports & Shopping fair in Casablanca.
