
China launches new cargo train route to Europe via Baku

Baku, Azerbaijan (PortSEurope) September 20, 2020 – China has started a new rail cargo which will use Kazakhstan’s Aktau port and Baku port as points of transport. The first cargo train will depart from Qinhua in eastern China, will arrive in Baku in 15-18 days. The train, consisting of 100 containers loaded with goods, including industrial equipment and household items, will arrive at Aktau and
transported by ferry to Baku International Sea Trade Port. The route will take less time to transport goods than land and sea transport. Initially, the service will launch 1-2 trains per month, later to become more frequent depending on demand. Copyright (C) PortSEurope. All Rights Reserved. 2020.
