Greece (PortSEurope) November 29, 2019 – Yesterday, the General Secretary of the Aegean and Island Policy, Christiana Kalogirou, visited the offices of the Port Authority of Volos, accompanied by the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Costas Agorastos, and met with the President of the Board of Directors and discussed: the purchase of a self-propelled crane at the commercial port subsidized by the Thessaly RPF with the contribution of the Regional Governor of Thessaly, the prospects after the launch of the Waterfront and the development – expansion of the Anchorage and the role it plays in combined sailing tourism with the Sporades.
The president expressed his wish to the new administration to modernize the permanent berth anchorage area which is of great interest to businesses operating in the area.
Both Costas Agorastos and Christina Kalogirou expressed their support to the President for the development efforts of the Port Authority and their assistance, and their visit coincided with submitting proposals regarding the upgrading of the port’s facilities.
