Ravenna, Italy (PortSEurope) January 8, 2018 – Regional Councilor for Infrastructures and Transport, Raffaele Donini, said that it is a significant step has been taken towards the excavation work of the seabed, which will allow the Port of Ravenna to become more competitive.
“The Project”, says the President of Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Centro-Settentrionale (Centre-North Port Authority), Daniele Rossi, “is moving forward with a sustained pace that makes us understand how much awareness there is of its importance for the Italian port. From September 18, the day when it was presented to Ministero delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti (Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport), in just over three months we have witnessed its transition to Consiglio Superiore dei Lavori Pubblici (Higher Council of Public Works) and from the latter to Il Comitato interministeriale per la programmazione economica (CIPE), which launched the examination postponing the completion of the analysis to the session to be held next January, to have time to acquire further documentation.”
He added that, “the Hub Project therefore goes forward and, this first step of yesterday at CIPE leads us to think that the time to reach the conclusion of the complex authorization process may now be short and the date when it will be possible to start work is near.”
