
Cleveland Cascades supplies equipment to Batumi port, Georgia

Batumi, Georgia (PortSEurope) March 1, 2021 – The UK’s Cleveland Cascades Ltd has supplied Batumi port with a Cascade systems for a ship loading application to handle fertilisers, urea and sulphur. The system is a 1350 sized systems with an extended chute length of 18m retractable to 7.7m, supported from a pivoting head chute fixed to a luffing boom ship loader. The system is capable
of loading 1,550 m³ per hour. The system is operational and is expected to be in use for loading vessels at up to 1.2 metric tonnes per hour. Batumi port is operated by KazTransOil JSC, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company JSC NC KazMunaiGaz. It has five terminals and 11 berths + CBM (point without berthing loading).
