Odessa, Ukraine (PortSEurope) December 10, 2018 – During a state visit to France, Ukraine Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, was present at the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), State Enterprise “Odessky ICC”, “Brooklyn-Kyiv Port” LLC with the participation of CMA CGM, the French shipping company.

Ukraine is interested in cooperation with international investors, therefore the Government is taking a number of measures to increase the investment attractiveness of our country. Ukrainian ports open new opportunities for foreign investors. CMA CGM cooperation with the Ukrainian side is beneficial for everyone as it will provide investment in the development of the Odessa seaport, increase in freight traffic and, as a consequence, significant deductions to budgets of different levels. Container shipping market is very dynamic, therefore world port operators are most interested in building up their capacities. Taking into account the considerable potential of Ukraine, as well as the fact that the authorities of Ukraine are interested in attracting investments in the port sector of the country, in the near future we expect to increase container transportations through Ukrainian ports, “said Volodymyr Omelyan”.
