Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) November 21, 2018 – “After the collapse of Morandi, CMA CGM did not abandon Genoa. Not even a ship has been removed”, said Paolo Lo Bianco, managing director of CMA CGM Italy, during the celebration for the company’s 40th anniversary.
With him was also senior vice president Mathieu Friedberg who explained the strategy for the next five years. He said, “We must focus on services, more quality and customer care, on digital transformation and logistics”.
In Italy, CMA CGM employs about 200 people and 75% work in the Genoa office. “Traffic volumes will follow the growth trend of the market and on Genoa we will not feel any repercussions for the collapse of Morandi”, said Lo Bianco.
