Santander, Spain (PortSEurope) June 18, 2018 – Spanish company Coated Solutions has started investing the €45 million ($52.2 million) planned for the second phase of the construction its facilities in the port of Santander, a process that has begun with minor works to build several warehouses whose administrative procedures are being finalised.
The mayor of Santander, Gema Igual, the president of the company, Óscar Heckh, together with the Councillor for Infrastructure, Urbanism and Housing, César Díaz, visited the facilities of Coated Solutions and the land on which the company plans to execute its second phase. The project will expand production capacity of the factory and the workforce, with the generation of around 200 jobs.
As reported by the city of Santander, during the meeting they reviewed the evolution of the company, its growth projects and improvement in their production forecasts. The city has highlighted the “success” of the Coated Solutions business project, which “is making its growth compatible with a solidity on which it is forging the basis of its present and its future”.
The mayor thanked the company for its commitment to Santander and its contribution to generate economic activity and employment in the city, both during the construction of new warehouses and with their subsequent commissioning.
Coated Solutions is an international pre-painted steel manufacturer producing high quality coils, with two production plants located in Spain.
