Companies Sign Concession For Former Piaggio Aerospace Industries Area Of Genoa PortSource: Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale

Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) June 1, 2019 – Following a process that has lasted two years, the companies Phase Motion Control SpA, Cosmet Snc, Cosnav Construction Navali Srl, Eurocontrol SpA have signed a 25-year concession for the former Piaggio Aerospace industries area in Sestri Ponente.

The concession covers approximately 41,000 m², including four industrial sheds and three office buildings, divided as follows: a Cosmet by C. and M. Roggerone snc: 7,086 m²; at Cosnav Costruzioni Navali srl: 2,723 m²; to Eurocontrol SpA: 4,632 m²; to Phase Motion Control SpA: 22,201 m²; and around 4000 m² will be used as common space.

The companies will develop a shared project called “Marina Science Park”, aimed at creation of a technological centre for mechatronics (technology combining electronics and mechanical engineering) with a vocation of excellence at national level.

The concession is a result of an agreement by Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale (AdSP – Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority), the Municipality of Genoa and the Liguria Region to develop the area, taken two years’ ago.
