Piraeus, Greece (PortSEurope) May 28, 2019 – In April 2019, the overseas terminals of China’s COSCO Shipping Ports Limited saw container throughout increase by 10.5% to 2.278 million TEU, compared to 2.06 million TEU in the same period of 2018.

Individual European terminals throughput in April 2019:

  • Piraeus Container Terminal S.A. registered 406,100 TEU, compared to 339,400 in same period of 2018 (+19.7%).
  • Euromax Terminal Rotterdam B.V.; 272,800 TEU ( 251,400); +8.5%.
  • Suez Canal Container Terminal S.A.E.; 231,700 TEU (226,600); +2.2%.
  • Antwerp Gateway NV; 186,800 TEU( 199,300); -6.3%.
  • Kumport Liman Hizmetleri ve Lojistik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş; 105,200 TEU (111,400); -5.6%.
  • Reefer Terminal S.P.A.; 4,700 TEU (7,300); -35.6%.
  • COSCO Shipping Ports (Spain) Terminals S.L.U.*; 335,700 TEU (309,900); +8.3%.
  • CSP Zeebrugge Terminal NV; 17,600 TEU ( 34,200); -48.4%.
