COSCO SHIPPING Ports Ltd records near 5% fall in container traffic in March

Hong Kong, China (PortSEurope) April 17, 2020 – COSCO SHIPPING Ports Ltd has published container (TEU) throughput for March 2020, which records total traffic of 7.91 million TEU, down 4.6% on the same month of 2019. The January-March 2020 figures is 22.43 million TEU, down 5.7% (23.79 million). Three of the company’s European terminal recorded large decreases: Piraeus Container Terminal (-15.4%); Euromax Terminal Rotterdam (-16.3%);
and CSP Spain (-22.6%).
