Piraeus, Greece (PortSEurope) February 11, 2019 – On February 6, 2019, an event took place celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee (HPC), in the presence of the President of the International Paralympic Committee, Andrew Parson, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Piraeus Port Authority SA (PPA) Captain Weng Lin and other executives of the company.
During the event, athletes, sponsors and supporters of the Paralympic Games, received awards. Among them, COSCO Shipping Charity Foundation was awarded for its role as a major sponsor.
Captain Weng Lin, said, “We recognize the remarkable efforts of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee and we encourage them to go on because we feel that they contribute to the creation of a society in which disabled persons enjoy the same rights with all the other people and they have access and can easily take part not only in sports but in all activities of daily life. These values must exist in all modern societies of 21st century.
