kuna is currently being invested. “The project consists of three phases, will last 30 months, and in addition to the reconstruction and reconstruction of the coast includes road widening, after which the traffic on the coast will be two-way. Eligible costs of the project of arrangement and expansion of the coast are 70 million kuna kuna with VAT”, said Minister Butković after visiting the construction site, adding that investments in port infrastructure projects in Croatia have never been invested like today, mostly thanks to EU funds and national funds. “Our southernmost county has the most such projects, as many as eight”, added Minister Butković. Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Franković also took part in the visit and pointed out that upon completion of the works, the Lapad coast will be completely redeveloped into an area with a renovated and expanded coast and arranged road and communal infrastructure. “I am convinced that the Lapad coast project will be successfully completed, as well as that the city of Dubrovnik, after 30 years of neglect, will get a completely arranged and communally renovated space,” he said. Prefect Nikola Dobroslavić commented that with 6.7 billion kuna, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County is the best in Croatia in terms of the use of European funds, as well as national funds for port infrastructure. “From the beginning, we recognized the importance of European Union funds and used them to the maximum for the implementation of projects for our citizens. We would not be able to do all this without the support of several ministries and the Government of the Republic of Croatia that support our projects”, said Prefect Dobroslavić after the visit. Let us add that Minister Butković continued his visit to the Dubrovnik-Neretva County on the Pelješac peninsula, where he visited the works on the reconstruction of the port in Trpanj, worth 16 million kuna. After Pelješac, the Minister went to the town of Korčula, where works are underway on the construction of the Puntin breakwater and the reconstruction of the main breakwater of the ACI marina Korčula. Minister Butković ended his visit to the County in Vela Luka, where he attended the signing of a contract for works on the project of building a new sea-passenger terminal worth as much as HRK 75 million.
