Dubai, UAE (PortSEurope) September 20, 2020 – In an interview with Arabiya TV on Wednesday last week, Sultan bin Sulayem, the chief executive of DP World, said that the Israeli ports of Ashdod and Haifa have an excellent location and his company would consider having a presence there. The comment follows the September 16 announcement that the UAE’s DP World and Israel Shipyards’ DoverTower subsidiary
signed an agreement to cooperate in shipping and port activities. Separately, on September 15, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain yesterday signed agreements formalizing diplomatic relations between Israel and two Gulf Arab nations.
