Mariupol, Ukraine (PortSEurope) July 9, 2019 – Around 2 million m³ will be removed from Mariupol port’s berth seabeds, in order to restore passport depths.

Three vessels will be utilised by LLC Specialized Technical Bureau Azimut under agreement with Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).

Insufficient draft negatively affects the competitiveness of the Mariupol port and leads to significant economic losses for both the port administration, stevedoring companies and cargo owners. Dredging is a vital step for us. We hope to restore the passport depths as soon as possible.on the approach channel of the Coal Harbour and at the berths, as well as to increase the draft draft for vessels serviced at the Mariupol sea port, ” said Sergey Gusakov, deputy head of the Mariupol sea port administration for operations.
