Trieste, Italy (PortSEurope) November 8, 2018 – The European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) has appointed as vice president Zeno D’Agostino, the president of Italy’s Trieste port.

Annaleena Makila (Finnish representative) was also named vice president while Eamonn O’Reilly (Ireland) was confirmed as president. 

The only representative of Southern Europe, D’Agostino, has been supported by Belgium, Finland, France, Latvia, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom, as well as Italy. 

The term of the vice president of the organisation is two years and is renewable once. It is the second time that Italy has managed to obtain an important role in ESPO.
