On June 10, 2021, an online seminar on “Review of Baku Port’s Climate Change Plan and Road Map for 2035” was organized within the framework of the EU-funded project “Support to Baku Port Capacity Building: Phase 2” – June 10, 2021 The purpose of the workshop is to familiarize key partners and stakeholders with the key elements of Baku Port’s long-term strategy and relevant work
plan to “bring greenhouse gas emissions to a net zero target by 2035.”Nigar Novruzova, Chief Specialist of Baku Port’s HSE Department, briefed the participants on Baku Port’s initiatives to become a Green Port, and Yuri Lozinski, an international expert on the EU project, on Baku Port’s long-term strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2035. .The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Azerbaijan Railways, Caspian Shipping, the State Maritime Administration and a number of private companies.
