Brussels, Belgium (PortSEurope) May 8, 2018 The next MoS Conference on “The Motorways of the Sea Detailed Implementation Plan 2018 and the related Study on MoS investment needs” will be the opportunity to present the detailed implementation plan (DIP) documents that outline the vision for the future of Motorways of the Sea (MoS) as the maritime dimension of the Trans-European Transport Network with the aim of ensuring a sustainable, integrated,
safe and competitive Short Sea Shipping sector in Europe. Following extensive consultation with stakeholders, EU institutions and Member States and an in depth data analysis, the DIP presents a number of recommendations under its three pillars (Environment, Integration of maritime transport in the logistics chain, and Safety, Traffic Management and Human Element) in order to shape the MoS programme of tomorrow; it is complemented by the Study as a tool to forecast the future investments in MoS.
