
First joint Israeli and Emirati business conference takes place in Dubai

Dubai, UAE (PortSEurope) November 28, 2020 – In September this year, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed agreements formalizing diplomatic relations between Israel and two Gulf Arab nations. This has led to business agreements linked to improving commercial relations between the two countries. One development was the Israel Dubai Conference which took place in Dubai on
November 24-26, 2020. The event features senior Israeli executives and leading companies and government officials from the UAE to open up the economic ties between the two countries, in a series of panels, lectures, and meetings. It was arranged and sponsored by Calcalist, Reshet 13 and Bank Leumi. Scheduled speakers included: H.E Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, H.E. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO, DP World, and Farook Hasan Hussein Alzeer, CEO,DB Schenker UAE. Also present was Orna Hozman-Bechor, chairwoman of the Ashdod port, which has been holding talks with DP World regarding establishing shipping services between Ashdod and Dubai, and other commercial agreements.
