France’s Groupe Cat To Restructure Activity At Santander Port

Santander, Spain (PortSEurope) October 10, 2018 – French transport and logistics holding Groupe CAT has decided to restructure its presence in the port of Santander.

Specifically, the group wants to unify the activities of the companies Sintax Logística and Cat Fletamentos in a single concession. For this, Sintax Logística, acquired two years ago, applied for a concession to occupy an area of 100,788 m² in the Central Breakwater of Raos terminal.

Sintax and CAT use different plots in the port of Santander under concession and authorisation. The first has some 74,000 m², meanwhile Cat Fletamentos, responsible for the logistics of vehicles in the group, has been occupying another 26,500 m² since 2017.

Both companies also operate in the provinces of Madrid, Valladolid and Barcelona. The company did not disclose if more reordering actions are planned in other locations.

Groupe CAT is one of the European independent leaders in transport and vehicle logistics.
