French minister visits Koper port

Koper, Slovenia (PortSEurope) May 12, 2021 – As part of an official visit to Slovenia, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, French Minister of Transport, has visited the Port of Koper. Via French shipper CMA CGM, France has had a long relationship with the Slovenian port which the French company has been visiting for over 20 years. CMA CGM representatives also attended the minister’s visit and commented that the
company would increase its use of the port which is currently expanding its container terminal and its its capacity to handle cars. The Divaca-Koper rail line is being expanded, increasing the port’s reach into Central and Eastern European markets. Luka Koper, port operator, said, “The Port of Koper which currently operates the largest Car Terminal on the European side of the Mediterranean, also stores cars from French manufacturers.
